He hails from Sokkankudieruppu in Thoothukudi district.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Madras.
During the years 2013-2018, he worked as a research scholar at the Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai, Government of India and obtained his doctorate from Anna University.
He has been a post-doctoral research fellow at Pusan National University in South Korea since 2019.
He has been a member of the Korean Tamil Sangam since 2020.
